- Settler attacks worsened after the “Angels of Peace” outpost was established in 2018: the community’s goats fell from 3,000 to 600 as settlers and the army barred access to grazing areas (line 559).
- After the war began in October 2023 the community decided to move its families elsewhere while maintaining a presence, after army and police answered calls with “we are at war” and hung up (line 563).
- Neighbouring communities were also leaving — Nassariya to the north, Ein Samya and Kabun to the south: “They don’t want Palestinians east of Allon Road. It is another Nakba, seventy-five years after the first.” (line 565)
