- In the letter the General Assembly took express “note” of in Resolution ES-10/22, Lazzarini “predict[s] … the collapse of the mandate [he] is expected to fulfil” and calls for “an end to the decimation of Gaza and of its people” (PDF p.12, footnote 70).
- The Application also quotes his description of Gaza at the Global Refugee Forum on 13 December 2023 as a “living hell” and “a war of all the superlative, everything is unprecedented”, with “[w]e are out of words to describe what is going on” (PDF p.31, footnote 183).
