-
The translation it publishes is of a record whose original is in the Hashomer Hatza’ir (Yad Yaari) Archive, file 95-35.27(3) (PDF p.1).
-
Editorial brackets in the translation identify terms for the reader, among them “[Intelligence Service (Arab Section)]” for the author, “[resolution]” after “the UN declaration”, “[Irgun, Lehi]” after “the Dissidents”, “[psychological warfare]” after “Whispering operations” and “[Missing from document]” for the absent regional-reviews annex (PDF p.1, 4).
-
The institute’s July 2019 report Silencing documents, from research conducted in 2017-2019 based on interviews with 15 archive employees and directors, Freedom of Information responses and several dozen files the ISA declassified at its request, that Director of Security of the Defense Establishment teams order public and private archives to vault documents on nuclear issues, the 1948 war and foreign relations without legal authority; it recommends the DSDE end those operations immediately (Silencing: DSDE’s Concealment of Documents in Archives, PDF p.2, 13).
-
For that report it found an identical copy, in Yosef Vashitz’ collection at Yad Ya’ari Research & Documentation Center, of the vaulted 1948 Arab migration document, submitted it to the Israeli Military Censor, which unconditionally cleared it, and posted the full document to its website in tandem with the report (PDF p.10).
