Summary
The 2011 Law on Disclosure Requirements for Recipients of Support from a Foreign State Entity, imposing quarterly foreign-government funding reports on NGOs, in a Description-only entry in Discriminatory Laws Database (lines 1828-1860).
Details
- NGOs must submit and publish quarterly reports on funding from foreign governments or publicly-funded foreign donors, including undertakings to funders, on their own websites and those of the Ministry of Justice and the Registrar of Associations (lines 1838-1842).
- The entry says the requirements are superfluous to existing donor reporting, are intended to harm human rights NGOs, do not affect privately funded settler groups, and specifically exempt the World Zionist Organization, the Jewish Agency for Israel, the United Israel Appeal, the Jewish National Fund and their subsidiaries (lines 1844-1852).
