The 2017 reconstruction project of the NGO al-Manar (Majdal Krum, as printed) with the firm al-Arkan (Kabul), which in Chapter 11 of Rethinking Statehood in Palestine reconstructs archetypal pre-1948 Palestinian villages as an affirmation of Indigeneity (Rethinking Statehood in Palestine, PDF p.304-305).

- Reconstructions used materials directly from destroyed villages, eyewitnesses’ photographs and narratives, and stones, trees and herbs from the original sources; models were supplied to more than one hundred Palestinian schools in Israel and the West Bank, placed at each entrance with posters on pre-1948 rural Palestine (PDF p.304-305).
