Details
- In her Foreword she records that a year after Tom’s death the family carried out its own investigation and justice campaign after a cover-up by the Israeli Defence Forces, and that the soldier received an eight-year sentence for Tom’s manslaughter (For Palestine — Essays from the Tom Hurndall Memorial Lecture Group, PDF p.21-22). Introduction Part II gives a different sentence figure for the same conviction; both are recorded on the source page under Open questions.
- She thanks Ian Parker for collating the sixteen memorial lectures and quotes Tom’s diary of 2 November 2001 (For Palestine — Essays from the Tom Hurndall Memorial Lecture Group, PDF p.21).
